Resilience Challenge Social Media Transition

Resilience Challenge Social Media Assets

Transition Social Media Assets

The purpose of this 3 week transition posts it to set up their gym's MEMBERS as leaders within their community- so that members are prompted to become advocates for their gym.

It's also a way for the OWNER'S to market what programs they have going on right now, what new resources they have to offer, and hopefully build relationships with new and promising prospects during "Quarantimes"

Week 2 will have more marketing plug-ins so the owners will need to replace the RED TEXT with specifics related to their gym- a little more work for them than in the Resilience, but the payoff is they can link specific emails, websites/links for non-members to reach out, and hopefully get converted to members down the road.

For gyms offering virtual/remote programs or classes, the Expand Resilience Campaign is PERFECT And for any members following their social media, it is meant to inspire them to be leaders in their families and circles (and help market their gym to more prospects😜). Enjoy all the content below... a link to the 6 weeks of Social Media for the Resilience Challenge right here:

To ALL who participated in the Resilience Challenge; we want to congratulate you for being proactive in your health and fitness!

The challenge is "over" but in reality, it has only just begun because this pandemic has made us think about our health in some very significant ways;
Lung-health, mental-health, overall immunity and nutrition, fitness and movement, the body's ability to recover, supplements like Vitamin C and other immune-boosting additions, drinking water, sunlight, rest...
Do you think there has been a time in history where MORE people, all around the world, at the same time, are thinking of WELLNESS in such a serious and profound way?

The Resilience Challenge was a primer for a NEW way of thought & motivtion to build health and balance into your life.
We want to continue the POSITIVE momentum and progress you have made.

So continue being an example to your loved ones- your children, grandparents, spouses, partners, colleagues, siblings, because they ALL benefit from YOU being healthy and strong. 💪

🗓A Routine helps you hit your targets when it comes to daily habits- just like how you brush your teeth in the morning, you can pair that up with journaling, walking, exercise, planning your day- whatever 🎯 habit you want to "hit" for your own well-being and development, can be built in!

⏰A regular time for relaxation/work (TV, Social Media, friend's time, family time/ emails, food prep, project work, studying) can help balance your life, especially while in quaratine!;

it's useful to separate work-time and rest/play-time with routines so that it doesn't all blend together.

For example, be in "work mode" from breakfast to lunch. "Play-mode" after lunch until evening.

🌝An evening routine can help regulate wake-sleep-cycle. A cup of tea, quite meditation, stretching, story-time with kids, a quiet walk, or anything calming each night before bed can help your body prepare for sleep, then fall into a deep sleep where you wake up feeling rested. 💤

🤗Bottom line: routines are ways to build in habits and important things, without you having to THINK.

With set routines, you go on auto-pilot and reap the rewards of doing those small actions, consistently.

Routines ensure that those things you say you "want to do" or "should do" ACTUALLY HAPPEN... without trying to "remember" to do them.

When the habits are part of a series of routines, THEY GET DONE ✅

✴The best thing? Since it is YOUR routine, you can add things in, and move things out when needed since a routine is just a part of you and will CHANGE and adapt as you learn and grow 🌊☀️🌛

Just like adults, kids need daily exercise to stay healthy.
Daily exercise helps them build a strong mind and confidence.

If a child shows particular interest in a style of fitness or exericise, or in joining YOUR WORKOUT, encouragement and support goes a long way!

But exercise for your kid(s) doesn't just mean gym-time or sports! Besides, who can do those things now anyways?! 🤷‍♂️

🏠HERE ARE SOME WAYS TO KEEP YOUR KIDS MOVING AT HOME:

🤸‍♀️Make physical activity part of the daily routine. From household chores to an after-dinner walk, keep your family active every day.

🤸🏽‍♂️Allow enough time for free play. Kids can burn more calories and have more fun when left to their own devices. Playing tag, riding bikes around the neighborhood, climbing outside or building with natural resources like mud, sticks, stones, etc are all they really need!

🤸‍♀️Keep a variety of games and sports equipment on hand. It doesn't have to be expensive — an assortment of balls, hula-hoops, and jump ropes can keep kids busy for hours.

🤸🏽‍♂️Be active together. It'll get you moving, and kids love to play with their parents.

🤸‍♀️Limit time spent in sedentary activities, such as watching TV, using electronic devices, being online, and playing video games.

"Information Overload--🧐📖multiple sources of information, over-abundance of information, difficulty in managing information, irrelevance/unimportance of the received information and scarcity of time on the part of information users to analyze and understand"

We live in a time of information overload! 🤔🥴

You’ve vowed that this year will be different. But due to the pandemic, all your plans are changed or on hold.

But if nothing changes, nothing changes.
So if you’re really ready to make a shift this year, pandemic or not, you’re going to have to change your strategy. You can still have what you want in fitness and health, but your tactics might just be different than what they were before.

Here are the top ways to motivate yourself and others to workout:

1. Write down your goals and look at that list- envision it all being true.
2. Create a buddy system with your BFF (even if you don't actually work out together)
3. Plan your workout schedule in advance
4. Have a killer playlist ready to go
5. Embrace your competitive side
6. Or, relax that competitive side
7. Plan your gym time around your favorite TV show
8. Tailor your workouts to fit your mood
9. Surround yourself with support (podcasts, books, Facebook Groups, chain-emails or texts...)

"Physical activity does not have to be vigorous or done for long periods in order to improve your health. A 2007 study of inactive women found that even a low level of exercise – around 75 minutes per week – improved their fitness levels significantly, when compared to a non-exercising group." 🙂🍏 (https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/)

Walking is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health. 🍎
Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power & a lot more.

WALKING 🚶‍♀️
is low impact, 👍
requires minimal equipment, 🚶‍♂️
can be done at any time of day ✅
and can be performed at your own pace.👌⠀

These strength-training moves⠀for your kids are a great addition to a workout routine at just about any age.

1. Bench step-ups: Step right foot, then left, up onto a low bench, then step down. Switch your starting side with each set.

2. Burpees: From standing, squat down, place your hands on the ground, and jump your feet back into a plank position. Lower body to the floor for a push-up. Push back up to plank. Hop feet back in and stand up.

3. Calf raises: From standing, lift up onto your tiptoes and hold, then lower.

4. Cartwheels: A blast! If anyone can’t pull them off, just try to approximate the move. 🎇

5. Crab walks: Sit with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground; place palms on the ground behind you. Lift hips a few inches and walk forward on your hands and feet like a crab, then walk backward.

6. Crab toe touches: From your crab position, lift left leg and right arm and try to touch your toes. Lower and repeat on the other side.

7. Handstands against a wall: Make it a game and see who can hold it the longest while keeping everything tight and looking good. 👌 ⏱🏆

Self Actualization is defined as the instinctual need of humans to make the most of their unique abilities and to strive to be the best they can be.

To experience our own expansion and expression of our unique abilities, we first want to keep these foundations in-check:

-Are you eating, sleeping, and playing regularly?

-Remember to breathe deeply, nurture your relationships, and take good care of yourself physically and emotionally, so you can think beyond the day-to-day and grow.

-Follow-through with yourself; do for yourself what you would do with your most beloved friends or family members.

-Stay in-touch with what is most important to you, and try to choose thoughts and behaviors that are in-line with what is truly most important for your own growth.

"self-actualization cannot be attained if it is made an end in itself, but only as a side effect of self-transcendence." - Viktor Frankl

Are you a success in a certain area of your life, because of somebody's encouragement, and being afraid to let someone down?

Thinking back, have you felt pressured by someone 🤜🤛 but in the end you realize they were pushing you to grow, holding you accountable?

Do you have goals?
Do you have goals that have been hard to keep? It's hard to keep goals if we keep them to ourselves, accountability may be what you are missing.

😼Accountability is a trick that successful people use to keep them on-track, and committed to doing the things that they want to do, in order to be the person they intend to be.

Accountability can look different for everyone, but it's a trick we recommend for ANYONE.

There should be someone in your circle of influence that you can confide in about your goals and enlist help from—preferably someone who has already achieved what you are aiming to do. (ahem, maybe one of your coaches?)

Here are 5 benefits of accountability:
1. ACCOUNTABILITY ACCELERATES YOUR PERFORMANCE
2. ACCOUNTABILITY HELPS YOU MEASURE YOUR SUCCESS AND PROGRESS
3. ACCOUNTABILITY KEEPS YOU ENGAGED
4. ACCOUNTABILITY WILL KEEP YOU RESPONSIBLE
5. ACCOUNTABILITY WILL VALIDATE YOUR THOUGHTS AND IDEAS

Here's how you do it:
1️⃣ reach out to someone you trust, or who has a habit or result you are aiming to build for yourself
2️⃣ tell them what you want to do
3️⃣ literally ask, "will you help me stay accountable to this?"
⭐️SOMETIMES SIMPLY STATING YOUR INTENTIONS OUT LOUD TO SOMEONE ELSE IS A WAY OF BUILDING ACCOUNTABILITY TO YOURSELF!

The benefits of chewing are quite amazing!
Here are some science-backed reasons why we should 🥗🍱 SIT DOWN TO EAT & FULLY CHEW OUR FOOD:

1. Not only does chewing mechanically break down food, it also stimulates production of digestive enzymes in the mouth, which helps your body digest and assimilate nutrition 😲

2. Chewing boost rest-and-digest nervous system - The autonomic nervous system is composed of two parts, the fight-or-flight sympathetic system and the rest-and-digest parasympathetic system. Chewing was found to significantly activate digestive-boosting parasympathetic response compared to other activities ☮️

3. Chewing boost hunger hormones - In a meta-analysis, three out of five studies showed that increasing number of chews per bite increases relevant gut hormones linked to feelings of being full. 🤤

4. Chewing increase satisfaction - Prolonged mastication significantly reduces self-reported hunger levels, suggesting that longer chewing makes us less hungry and more satisfiying😋

Online training isn’t for everyone, and some online fitness coaches aren’t as great as their website makes them out to be.

So how do you decide if you should take the dive into virtual training?

Here are some things you need to know:

Usually a coach will first want a consultation- a way to get to know you and your goals, and they will also tell you about how they deliver workouts.
If it's a fit, then you will either workout from home with the equipment you have, and the coach will send you workouts specific to you and your body and goals.

Here are the Pros for having a virtual coach:
- Working with an online coach is less expensive than an in-person coach.
- They can support you and help you stay on track with your fitness goals.
- Online training is more flexible.

You’ve probably heard about stoics and if you have, you might picture a statue of a man, tight-lipped and serious, never cracking a smile.
But this is not who the stoics were; actually they have much in common with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

Here are some of things that stoicism can teach us about good mental health:

🧠⚡️1 - Control what you can control - This is powerful stuff because so much frustration often comes from trying to get others or hoping for others to do that which you have absolutely no direct control over — their actions and reactions, their opinions, their decisions. Be clear on what is actually not in your control, and move on.

🧠⚡️2 - Choose your attitude - it's real and true that there is a lot outside of our control— an illness (but out immune system and health choices are in our control) , a job layoff, the breakup — HOWEVER, you and only you can control your attitude, your judgements, the story of what these challenges mean to you. Choose a meaning that works for you.

🧠⚡️3 - Want what you get - If we believe that life is not working against us but for us, if we essentially want what we get rather than constantly fighting against it, our lives are filled with opportunities. Suffering comes from wanting something that is outside of our control, and outside of what IS.

🧠⚡️4 - Combine emotion with reason - Emotions are just information and can be combined with reason — when you feel emotions, feel them and acknowledge them but do not stop there. Filter them through a reasoning process. "Is this true?" or "is this what I want to feel?" or "How would I prefer to feel?" are great places to start

🧠⚡️5 - Live in the present - stoicism promotes being aware that death is part of life, to be okay with that and because of that, to savor the present.
